I Dont Have Any Of The Software Discs To My Laptop, And I Cant Do A System Restore..help!!?

i can only run my laptop in safe mode with no sound!! when i do a system restore thro accessories, it just brings me yesterdays date..my laptop has been only running on safemode for about 3 months now, any ideas? please help! hwo can i do a restore??

My husband and I don’t have a home phone because we have cellphones. We do have cable though and I am curious if I should get the computer hooked up through my cable(would this still require a phone?) or should I go with wireless internet?
