i can only run my laptop in safe mode with no sound!! when i do a system restore thro accessories, it just brings me yesterdays date..my laptop has been only running on safemode for about 3 months now, any ideas? please help! hwo can i do a restore??

It’s an Acer Aspire 3680, but I can’t find the recovery partition on it. Most say to click Start, go to All Programs, Accessories, and then Recovery partition. I can’t find it. I’m trying to restore my laptop to factory settings, but it’s not working out.
