Monitors don't contain graphics cards. That's built in to your motherboard and in 99% of cases, laptop video cards are not upgradeable

In you get choppy video, its your notebook's built in graphics card. A monitor would never hinder your graphics. Unfortunately, you can't upgrade built-in graphics cards.

No. Graphics are affected by the video card, it is not in the monitor. The graphics card is a separate piece of hardware connected to the motherboard. While a different monitor might be able to support a higher resolution, it will not improve graphics processing. You want a graphics card, when you have one it might be time to consider a new monitor, but it might be more worth while to get a new laptop than combining the cost of a GPU and monitor.
